DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. It's targeted towards students in high school and college like me. You can learn more about DECA by going here. I joined so that I could be better prepared to run my business, The Rules of a Big Boss. I also joined because we get to go on field trips and meet new people.
The DECA Career Development Conference (CDC) is the highlight of the DECA academic year. Over 3,000 students, teachers, and business professionals like me joined together at the Koury Convention Center from February 23 - February 25, 2023.. We participated in competitions, voted for officers, attended workshops, networked, and had lots of fun. I even won a pin for achieving proficiency in my category, Apparel and Accessories.
