Sheryl Smiley-Oliphant (also known as The Activity Author) has been featured on WCNC News.
She is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University and the University of North Carolina Charlotte where she majored in Theater Arts. Sheryl is a drama and theater arts teacher in the Charlotte Mecklenburg County School System. She also hosts a YouTube Channel via her alias where she encourages families to spend time creating together. Sheryl creates original crafts that are centered around the themes of various children's books that she has enjoyed, read, and reviewed. These videos feature her two adorable daughters, husband, and their dog as the stars of the show.
Sheryl purchased a copy of my debut children's book, Dear Daughter: A Love Story and she loved it. She stated that, "this book is the meaning of unconditional love." She also said that it made her examine her relationship with her own father. She resultantly decided to feature Dear Daughter on her YouTube Channel. The video releases tomorrow morning and you don't want to miss it. My daughter, Haelee and I are going to spend time studying it so that we can make the crafts on Sunday in honor of my favorite holiday, Father’s Day.
