My daughter, Haelee was born at 6:37 PM on this very day 14 years ago. I normally have something elegant and sweet to say but my barrel is empty this time because I poured all of my love into my upcoming book, Dear Daughter: A Love Story 📕.

What I can say is that I’ve lost the hair on top of my head, I toss and turn at night, the hair that I have remaining is white, my bones ache, my stress levels are higher, and I’ve gotten rounder all because of you 👴🏾.

Your mom said that I was the only one that could make you happy when she decided to let me raise you as opposed to her. I told her that my sentiments were the same in that you were the reason that my heart beat. With that in mind, I don’t mind one bit that you have stolen my youth because you are the gift that pays dividends daily. The New York Stock Exchange is jealous of you because your dividends are immeasurable. Thank you for choosing me to not only be your dad but your parent. I love you more than my words can ever say ❤️.
